The individual practices that make up the Hartford Healthcare medical group are, on the whole, very good. The hospital is horrible. It is sad to me that I may have to leave certain providers in search of a medical system that can also provide good emergency care services.

Dr Casey is "the best". He answers all of your questions, explains what he "sees" in your lab results, and has a manor reminiscent of how doctor/patient relationships were from the "old days". He's a regular guy yet professional. My visit was nearly "to the minute" of my first anniversary of my first helicopter ride, Life Star from Backus Hospital to Hartford Hospital. My heart attack was a life changer that I never expected. The human element of Hartford Health Care has been amazing and comforting. Having Dr Casey is some of the frosting on my Re-birthday Cake.

I live in West Hartford and drove to Norwich to return to Dr. Casey, who had treated me several years ago in the Hartford area. He was completely informed about my prior care, asked a lot of questions and listened to my answers, and gave me a clear and straightforward assessment and a plan for additional testing. After my exam and conversation, I kicked myself for not having returned sooner.
